Empty House
handcut acid-free paper, glue, on wooden frameseries2015The series Empty House consists of explorations on how the inner mind connects with the sense of being versus the sensation of belonging. The handcut paper evokes a context of storytelling, while the shadows created by the different textures create a sense of depth and space within the frame.
In some of the pieces, the use of reflective light created by colored paper hidden in the design give an aura that highlight a moment of awareness, connecting the color to the chakra that the piece refers to.
Some of these pieces were exhibited at Altos de Chavon and at Jenny Polanco Projects.
