My work explores mental illness, isolation, and the inner worlds of the neurodivergent, particularly in relationship to our increasingly image-obsessed society, which breeds unrealistic expectations and capitalizes on the destruction of our world and our psyche. While some of my work captures the wholeness of natural landscapes, others embody the corruption of beauty standards and filtered ideals of perfection.

My practice also questions the construction of living utopias: how to become self-sustaining island-beings and how to connect our cultural identity with our land, its memory, and its oral histories. Through the use of paper, durational performances, and other ephemeral materials, I search to liberate nature forms and focus my practice on the return to center.
